Without a word of a lie I have spent all day, yes all day, organising photos so my intended blog entry is delayed.
This morning I thought I had it all sussed and sorted all my 1400+ photos from my phone into albums. The idea being that then I could access them easily to use them in my blog. So I was feeling pretty smug when I finished.
But alas! It was not to be. My computer doesn't actually have a photo programme on it so I had sorted my photos up in 'the cloud'. You know, that mysterious place where photos go. So they're all sorted but I'm not.
A few interruptions such as the mail man arriving to pick up snail mail for NZ and a visit to the bank to top up the ever hungry cash card of the teenager used up a bit of the day.
One eagle eyed reader wrote to ask why I was home alone and where had the teenager gone? Good spotting! He is currently holidaying (at my expense of course) in Turkey after having had three weeks in Canada with a friend from school here. Today he was meeting up with his cousin to do a trip to Gallipoli.
Hence the ever ready cash flow...
As you can imagine I was exhausted after all this work so after lunch a nap was in order. The day outside was unappealing, still with dust storms, so a wee lie down with a good book beckoned.
A reviving cuppa and it was back into it. Spoilt for choice I have ended up with several apps to enhance photos and make collage cards but none of them were what I actually wanted. So it was back to the Microsoft site to download theirs. Why can't they just put it on the computer??? How many times does one need to download a programme to get it to work? Plenty!
So now, after many hours work, I think I have it sorted. Tomorrow will tell when I try to upload the first batch of photos onto the blog, a time-consuming task at the best of times. Surely there must be an easier way to do this in this day and age? Perhaps one of my IT literate readers can enlighten me.
